This farm, wholly
biological, owned by family Sanna since many years is mainly destined to the
sheep breeding. Th e
produced milk is transported up to Acciaiolo, a small village in
Pisa province, to be transformed in true “Pecorino di Pienza”.
Gianni Sanna, infact, together with other three local farmers and with Busti
family (owner of the dairy) have set up the consortium “Pascoli di Pienza”
to safeguard the Pienza pecorino D.O.P. brand.
Located in the hill between the small medieval village of Monticchiello
and the historical town of Montepulciano it has an extension of about 150
hectares of land with a wonderful view.
Besides being 3 km far from Monticchiello and 5 km far from
Montepulciano, it is about 10 km far from the papal city of Pienza,
from Bagno Vignoni and Bagni S. Filippo thermal
baths. Recently the restructuring of an old farm has also allowed the farm
holiday activity.
The flats are furnished with beautiful antique tuscany furniture. The
comfort of hydromassage baths or showers with sauna and hydromassage is
wonderfully integrated in the rurall environment of the bedrooms. The wood,
of property, is marked with several routes, that will offer very pleasant
walks among age old oaks, holm oaks, turkey oaks, the whole inside “Val
d'Orcia natural Park”.
During the summer season you will taste delicious biological cultivated
fruit, while all along the year you can purchase the unique true “Pecorino
di Pienza”.
